The term Cannabis broadly refers to a group of 3 plants (scientifically referred to as Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis). THC and CBD are just 2 of the 120 different compounds found in this plant.
Marijuana refers to varieties of Cannabis that contain more than 0.3% THC, and THC is the shit that gives the feeling of being high. It’s the main psychoactive compound in marijuana.
Hemp refers to varieties of Cannabis that contain 0.3% or less THC. CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol, which is a non-intoxicating compound thought to have therapeutic benefits and is the reason you’re even reading this right now.
